Supervision
& Mentorship

Dr. Flores has a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision with a specialization in advanced clinical skills. She is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and Mentor, supporting LMFTs who want to become AAMFT Approved Supervisors.

Dr. Flores uses a systemic lens in supervision that intersects with ethical principles of Kitchener (1984): beneficence, nonmaleficence, autonomy, justice, fidelity, and - added to the ACA (2014) Preamble - veracity. She documents progress using this lens and the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM) for counseling supervisees.

She understands that isomorphism is an essential process. Dr. Flores diligently works to ensure that the supervision she provides uses a trauma-focused lens and instills strong ethical dispositions and professional identities in her supervisees and mentees.
