Dr. Flores has extensive, advanced training in neuroanatomy, neurobiology, sex therapy and counseling sexology, ethical and legal issues in clinical mental health counseling and marriage and family therapy, and Jungian trauma/play therapy for adults who have experienced childhood harm, neglect, and abuse.​ She teaches doctoral-level clinical supervision and provides continuing education for clinicians who strive to become systemic, ethically sound supervisors. Her research agenda often pushes the envelope, creating new ways to conceptualize clinical work with neurodivergent brain styles, relationships, and ethics.
